Dealing with Cancer…

My father has cancer and his transition is near.

Helping my Mother who has been the principal in nursing him over the past six months has taught me many things both about my father but also myself.

He has shrunk yet also grown, that contradiction born from the image of a strong man I would behold in wonder through child and adulthood, to that of an emaciated giant (yet not to be pitied!). A heart of a lion with courage that sets my own in the shade. Where did such strength of character come from? I wish I had but a morsel of it!

The transition of human, from the physical to spirit, is no stranger to me, yet how is it I crumble, break down and cry, at the very thought, when it is my own loved one? The answer is grief. Hard wired within us and a natural process not to be suppressed but to be liberated. How then? Some deal with grief in different ways. For me it is through sharing and bringing forth! Through the process of remembering the man that was, in contrast to the poor, dishevelled, worn and yet somehow more serene figure that now lies in front of me. Through realising and sharing with my family the tragedy of it all, both in its circumstance as a consequence of the disease itself and also the effect the impending loss will have upon our family as a whole.

It was soon after his diagnosis that I noticed the spirits of my Nanna and Grandad ( long since passed) standing by my father. “We are here for him” they said. I thought that meant an impending departure but no, it represented a presence (for the duration). Through thick and thin they have been there, and towards the end they are joined by others. Work colleagues, friends, and more prominently so my brother, alongside my parents near enough everyday since his own passing 27 years ago!

What message then for others? A simple analogy! He would not leave us unless he had to. Yes life is unfair. We do not want him to go and neither does he wish to leave but he has lived his life and his time has come. Here lies a man in his final hours/days who knows? But love prevails. Through periods of lucidity then incoherent rambling, love prevails! Something else too. Humour! Yes throughout the difficulties of his condition he has the humour to make light of his limitations and we are hard pushed to reciprocate! Such valour! Such grit!

Is it fair to torture ourselves by dwelling on all the wonderful things he would or could have done had he been given more time? No. This is not the way…

I once had a vision that our spirits descended to the physical world in a kind of lift/elevator with others. Some we would return with, but not all. Upon arriving here we would all start shopping around (fascinated by the variety in the ‘shop window’ of the world around us), but the message was made clear by my Guide, we do not have time for shopping if we wish to make full use of the time available to us, before the lift/elevator takes us back up!

Looking back on my father’s lifespan in contrast to this, made me think about his own time with us and realise all the positive aspects that were the result, the weddings he had been to, the christenings, the holidays, as well as the negative aspects such as the passing of his own parents, my brother, and job/family set- backs. On reflection I could see balance and this was as it should be. For that and every memory we could share of him, I and my family should be grateful.

What had been shopping in his life and what had been beneficial or spiritual gain? I don’t know all, that’s for sure. What I do know is that in the elevator that I saw ascending in my vision, I could only see the spirits of people, of all ages, gender and nationality and not a single shopping bag was amongst them!

I can only hope that my experience brings some comfort to others with loved ones who are ill or suffering. Remember the positive aspects and draw strength from them for the passage ahead, be as brave for them as they are facing the fear of their illness, and offer them not your pity but your love, as strong as ever from your life-bond with them.

Peace be with you.

Connecting with Spirit…

I have been asked to outline the process that I use when contacting spirit energies for philosophy and for providing messages of love and support. Well I can do better than that. Below is the full procedure. I would stress that each person can develop their own method and routine and that produced below is by no means prescriptive!

A Guide to spirit contact:

01. Be comfortable and well grounded so that there can be a clear distinction between the physical and spirit

02. Say protection prayer

Oh Lord I ask if it be thy will
That you bring Archangel Michael close to me
To surround me with your love and light
And protect me from negative energies

03. Say engagement prayer

Angels of the Lord be near me
Spirit Guides and helpers draw close
Help me to engage with the light of our Lord
that I may achieve enlightenment

(This prayer may be extended to include a particular purpose)

04. Cleanse the human form as a vessel for receiving divine communication

Picture pure white light travelling from head to toe and out through grounding,
cleansing and purifying the body within

Picture a column of fire surrounding the body, purifying the outer body and also the aura to at least a foot away and preferably a yard/metre

Purge the mind of all physical thought, such that spirit can be assured that they will not encounter the impurity of the physical mind (a mantra can be used to enhance progress to this state)

05. Slow down breathing and go to deep relaxation (DO NOT THINK!)

06. Envisage golden light of spirit essence overhead or adjacent

07. Feel own spirit being guided into the light (rapid eye movement/heat/cold/floating)

08. Engage higher spirit (you may experience tremble/shake/eyes water/enhanced senses) then experience calm and proceed to ask questions or accept visions/messages/gifts from spirit

09. After your encounter you should feel own spirit draw back to the physical vessel (your body)

10. Give thanks to all concerned in process (Items 2 & 3)

N.B. Allow time for recovery as the exercise requires use of a lot of energy!

Peace…

In the world today is much anger and extremism (not allied to any one activity or religion in particular) and this points to the underlying reason why peace cannot prevail.

With man’s worship of and infatuations with,  his own technological achievements, it is clear that the attention of the individual is distracted from that connection one would have had with nature and spirit, had such technology not been so prevalent!

This displacement however, is not the only reason the world has problems. Even the very design of infrastructure for society i.e. in the form of the creation of large centres of housing, is enough to cause the loss of individual identity. Consider the conscience of the individual when he is interacting within a peer group that is well known (i.e. in a small village), compared to behaviours that may arise without chastisement or personal responsibility outside this environment such as in a town or furthermore a city environment.

The reasons and answers to this problem affecting peace through harmony then are clearly multi- faceted so one may ask, “what are we to do?”

When considering extreme behaviour, one must consider the context within which such behaviour exists. If drawing impetus from the base reasons of society, religion and/or upbringing, then there is hope for mankind if the individual can recognise and address this root cause. What is certain is that the world is changing and more extreme behaviour will follow as the foundations for long term peace are being laid through world events. This is particularly in evidence in the middle east at present and is spreading around the globe as capitalist and western markets come to terms with their problems.

It is the responsibility of every enlightened individual then, to find and address the balance.

To achieve balance one must learn to identify opportunities to dispel or fight the darkness that threatens to envelop this world. To bring love where it is absent, pray for those who are surrounded by darkness and evil, that they may be surrounded by the light and love of eternal spirit and do everything possible to help one’s neighbour to go forward in peace.

Balance also means countering abuse, bullying, discrimination, exploitation, fanaticism and racism, with equal measures that ultimately are put forward in love and peace. Encouraging human kind to recognise that the individual must accept the personal responsibility they have to themselves, each other and ultimately our cosmic divine energy (or God if you prefer).

For every hate preachers ‘negative’ rant, there should be an equal and opposite ‘positive’ message of love, for each ‘evil’ deed an equal and opposite ‘good’ deed, and so on until each is cancelled out and a universal harmony is realised. This will take some generations to complete. The children of our star children will be the instruments of this change. So let us pray that individuals and World Leaders alike, may be given the wisdom and personal integrity to act appropriately now, in order to lay the foundations that are necessary for our future in a new and better world!

Becoming a medium…

Q. How does someone become a medium?
A. Through patience and hard work and through a respectable development circle. The starting point however, is more the ‘why’ than the ‘how’. If the ‘why’ is for the correct reason then the how will naturally follow.

Which Way?

The journey begins
Paths anew
Which to take first?
Well, all can be true

How do we know this?
Its in each twist and turn
whether right or wrong
Our souls will soon learn.

Blessed are the Children…

Blessed are the children
Full of energy and fun
Playing, learning, living life
With spirits free to run

You think i mean the living?
Well yes, of course it’s true
but spirit children are with us all
In everything we do

I see their caring, loving forms
Their smiles and laughs abound
They lift us and give comfort too
To those that grief has found

So blessed are the children
Sent from heaven above
On behalf of human kind
I thank them for their love.

He is a husband and father with a message for a Mother, young daughter and baby. He explains that a memorial was sent into nearby water or stream as a message. The mother helped the daughter to send the message.”Daddy miss you and love you and I have drawn a picture for you dad” love from L name like Laura.
