It is all around us
Yet we cannot see it
It probes our mind and body
And would take hold if we let it
We must be alert and watchful
Take care not to slip
A moment is all it takes
Then we are caught in its web
What is this then
The great unseen?
It is the darkness we must be wary of
And I mean not, a physical lack of light
It is ill thought
Unchecked raw emotions
Mistreatment of others
And worse!
Embrace it we must not
Fight it with love and light
Forgive those who would trespass against us
And be led not into temptation
Free will we have yes
But exercise it wisely for the right outcome
If we are what we think
Then be pure of thought toward others.
