Prayer from the stillborn…

Although my time was short with you

Fear not for me, nor despair

For every second counted

That my spirit was in your care

I know you won’t forget me

And neither will I, you

The love we shared so briefly

Was, nonetheless, so true

I’m still around, you know it

Our paths now bound as one

And though I cannot show myself

You sense I have not gone

I am in the wind that whispers

The morning sun and dew

And often when you’re quiet

You will feel me near you

So please be ever joyful

In your memory of me

That I may send my love to you

And set your heavy heart free.
