The Anne Frank Museum

I pen this note following a photographic trip to Amsterdam over the weekend.

Whilst in Amsterdam I visited the Anne Frank Museum. The whole story of this young girl and her family is a tragic reminder of not only terrible war time atrocities, but also the evil of prejudice. Such prejudice between races, religions and even amongst different individuals in society remains today, with Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Kurdish peoples etc, the Rich, Poor, the Homeless and even between different races and nationalities etc.
After all this time we have not learnt our lesson, even with the wise words of Otto Frank ringing in our ears from as recently as 1970! …”We cannot change what happened anymore. The only thing we can do is to learn from the past and to realize what discrimination and persecution of innocent people means. I believe that it’s everyone’s responsibility to fight prejudice”.
Whilst in the upper ‘Secret Rooms’ of the Frank’s Building, I opened my senses and asked my guides if any of the family were still present. I received a bubbly and excited energy, with a female voice (which my guides and intuition say was Anne), who said simply, “Of all the places we could go, why would we come back here silly?…this was not a good time!”
The energy uplifted me from the darkness invoked by the tour, but after leaving the room I felt waves of emotion wash over me and I had to stop to compose myself, drying tears caused by the sadness which pervaded this building and what it represented.
Still, the visit would be worthwhile for others. If for nothing else, than to remind us that we still have a long way to go, on our Journey of bringing the peoples of the World together in love and peace.
May we all be illumined. AlanC

I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

You can definitely see your enthusiasm within the work you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart. “The point of quotations is that one can use another’s words to be insulting.” by Amanda Cross.
